“Fences” Act 2, Scene 2
Today in multicultural literature we continued to read the play “Fences.” Act two scene two marks the beginning of the falling action of the play and we learn many new things that occur over the six month time period. We learn that Alberta has passed away while giving birth to her daughter. Troy is distraught from hearing this information and rushes to the hospital to pick up the newborn daughter. In the following scene, Cory attempts to stand up against Troy, but fails. As a result of his actions, Cory is kicked out of the house, which marks the majority Troy’s relationships ending with Rose, Alberta, Cory, and Gabriel. I am doing good.
