Prompt: Summarize your holiday break. In addition, write about 5 personal goals that you want to achieve in 2025. Explain why you chose those goals.

My holiday break started with the relief of finishing the first semester and taking the finals. There weren't that many days between the start of break and Christmas, which felt abrupt to me. Christmas is always an enjoyable part of the break since family comes over to eat with us. We end up making so much food that we end up having leftovers to go into the new year. this year was no exception. New years eve is usually spent among ourselves with less food than during Christmas, due to the leftovers. The days that follow January 1st passed by in a flash. Most of my holiday break was spent with family and spending time on my hobbies.

In 2025 I have 5 goals in mind for the new year. My first goal is to apply for a job. I chose this goal as I would like a steady stream of income while I'm at University. My second goal is to improve my personal health by working out and going on walks. I chose this goal as it would help portray a better image of myself to people at University. My third goal is to spend more time with friends. Although I spend time with friends over video games, I would still want to spend more time outside. My fourth goal is to get back into chess. I've started to realize how much potential I had at chess when I was younger and would like to resume playing chess at a club level again. My final goal is to provide my parents with a gesture of gratitude for what they've done for me. I want to give something back to them for the time they've raised me before I go to University.
